AREA:

Prime Academy is nestled in a quiet and tranquil residential locality in Marol, Andheri East, Mumbai. The structure comprises of ground floor and rises up to seven floors including the terrace. The usable area of the school and campus covers a sprawling area of over 1 lakh sq.ft. Each and every part of the school is technically, practically and aesthetically designed and built for all educational purposes. Great amount of thought has been put into designing comfort & safety of children. A special ramp with railings has been constructed for ease of movement for the differently abled. The school has a double heighted entrance lobby and is spacious enough for students to move about comfortably.

MUSIC ROOM:

A well-equipped music room introduces students to the mesmerising world of melodies and instruments, thus uplifting their spirits and igniting creativity. With the thorough guidance and training imparted by a professional music faculty, students are involved in learning fine nuances of music. The music room comprises of keyboards, tablas, guitar, harmonium, flute and other instruments.

PLAY AREAS:

The campus is equipped with two playing turfs, one on the ground floor and one on the terrace which has been secured from all sides. The campus also houses two lavish play zones on the ground floor for the younger children. One of the play zones in on the open ground furnished with protective matting to prevent children from injuries during the play hour. The other play zone is airconditioned and accessible to the younger children during school hours.

LABORATORIES:

The school houses three separate, full-fledged and fully equipped, professionally designed modern science laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Each laboratory is spacious enough for students to enable them to conduct their experiments comfortably with well-connected electrical points with earthing and leakage breakers as a safety measure. Students are provided with the latest and safest equipment for experiments for better learning.

MULTIPURPOSE AUDITOTIRUM:

Rang Sharda, the multipurpose auditorium is a lavish 4,500 sq.ft, well-equipped and airconditioned facility that can comfortably accommodate over 400 persons in theatrical style seating. It has a built-in stage and two green rooms, sound & lights and sound-proof walls. The multipurpose hall cum auditorium provides the school with enough space and comfort to organise and conduct all internal events like competitions, students meet, school assembly, seminars, workshops, orientations for students, teachers as well as parents are conducted here.

IT LAB:

The 40-seater IT Lab is bright, engaging and equipped with the necessary software and internet connectivity to enable and assist students in carrying out their research and project work. Ergonomically designed computer chairs have been installed for utmost comfort.

MEDICAL ROOM:

A healthy body equals a healthy mind! At Prime Academy, annual preventive medical camps are organised for all children and staff and the health report is shared with parents. The check-up includes general check-up, eye, dental, ENT and BMI. .

CLASSROOMS:

All classrooms are well illuminated, ventilated, and enhanced with a combination of pleasing colours, spacing and the right furniture. Glare free glass surface chalkboards and Interactive Android Smart Boards with webcams have been installed in all classrooms. CCTVs are installed in all classrooms and the entire campus.

LIBRARY:

A library is the heart of a school and reading provides nourishment and enlightenment to the mind! At Prime Academy, we encourage children to spend ample time in the library and widen their horizons of knowledge. The library houses a wide collection of age-appropriate books in Science, Arts, Literature, Academics, Fictional & NonFictional Stories, Biographies, Encyclopaedia and others. Special care is taken to create awareness amongst children as to which types of books are suitable for them to help them in developing healthy reading habits from a very tender age. Our qualified and experienced teachers nurture and develop the curiosity, creative instinct and aesthetic sensibilities in children.

AUDIO VISUAL ROOM:

The 200-seater, airconditioned Audio Visual room is fully equipped with overhead projectors and cushioned flap chairs to make teaching and learning more effective. Special seminars, workshops and orientations for students, teachers as well as parents are conducted here.

MEALS / CAFETERIA:

Our bodies are temples of infinite energy and knowledge. Therefore, only the most beneficial foods must be consumed for the healthy functioning of all our mental and physical faculties. Thus, it is important to inculcate healthy eating habits amongst today’s generation by introducing them to a variety of fresh and seasonal fruits, vegetables, curries, dals, juices, salads and other items for a nutritious and well-balanced diet.

It is mandatory to consume all meals served at school. Hot, fresh and nutritious, pure vegetarian breakfast and buffet lunch (Jain meals on request) is hygienically prepared in the in-house kitchen is served with love to all. Non-vegetarian food is strictly prohibited in school premises. Pre-primary students are served a heavy brunch comprising of a nutritious snack and health drink/fruits/desert. Primary and secondary students are served breakfast comprising of a nutritious snack and health drink and a variety of foods at lunch. Utmost importance is given to the freshness and hygiene while preparing meals. The management and director personally pay special attention in ensuring and maintaining the purity and quality of all ingredients that go into preparing a meal. All meals are prepared in our modern in-house kitchen which follows all the necessary safety and hygiene protocols at all times and the kitchen crew wear a hair net and gloves at all times.

Laughter is the brightest in the place where food is good! It is immensely satisfying to watch all our students and staff enjoy a hearty meal together in the cafeteria. The laughter and giggles are truly music to ears! It is a place and time that everyone at Prime Academy looks forward to spending with their friends and colleagues

At the cafeteria, children learn to develop their taste buds and get accustomed to different types of foods. They develop social skills along with learning to conduct themselves in an orderly manner, serve food themselves and clear up after they have finished. These mundane tasks help in building a child’s confidence. While money is one’s personal resource, but nature’s resources are limited for all living beings. At Prime Academy, children are urged to first taste the food and only then fill up their plates to reduce food wastage. This helps in instilling a sense of gratitude in their minds and be thankful for the healthy and abundant food that they have been blessed with. Students are encouraged to use the spoon to eat and carry a small towel / napkin and their water bottles during meals every day. Sanitisers and wash basins with soap are available for a hygienic hand wash.

ELEVATORS:

There are three well-maintained and fully functional elevators which are accessible to students only on special case basis. All elevators are safety certified, automatic, high speed and trouble free. The infra-red sensor on the door ensures safety for all passengers and the elevators have been installed only after thorough testing.

WASHROOMS:

There are separate washrooms for girls and boys on every floor which are equipped with the necessary hygiene products.

WATER PURIFIERS:

Electric water purifiers and coolers have been installed on every floor for ease of refilling water bottles by the students.

SAFETY & SECURITY:

All classrooms, washrooms (captures only the main door entry), elevators, every nook and corner, the entire campus and its surrounding are captured and closely monitored via CCTV surveillance. The school is equipped with not just fire extinguishers, but an entire firefighting system in accordance with guidelines from the Mumbai Fire Brigade Department. Also, there is one emergency exit stairway in addition to one main stairway. The school building has also been provided with shock absorbers for additional safety of students. As per government norms, the building has been constructed to be earthquake resistant.

ART ROOM:

A specially designed and furnished Art & Craft room introduces students to the enigmatic and enchanting world of colours, thus igniting the flame of creativity in their minds. With the thorough guidance and training imparted by a professional art faculty, students are encouraged to participate in various external examinations, exhibitions and competitions.

Our airconditioned medical room with attached washroom is equipped with all basic medicines, first aid kit, oxygen cylinder, wheelchair and stretcher. A nebulizer is also available which is used as prescribed by the doctors of the students suffering from Asthma. A well trained and professional nurse takes care of the wellbeing of all children and staff. If children feel unwell in school, then, they are moved to the medical room for initial diagnosis and administered basic medicines with parent’s consent. In case the issue is greater, then parents are requested to pick up their children and show them to the concerned doctor and provide the necessary treatment.

COUNSELLING CENTER:

“Emotional Wellbeing Is Just as Important to Us as Breathing Is.”
At Prime Academy, along with the physical wellbeing of our children, we truly believe in their emotional and mental wellbeing too. Our counselling centre has one of the best counsellors who helps teachers, students as well as parents in understanding the causes that trigger a particular unwarranted behaviour in children. In today’s times, children may be facing tremendous difficulty and pressure in coping with academic, behavioural, emotional, or social issues which they may be either scared or ashamed to share with their parents. In such a scenario, either students or parents can take prior appointment and visit the counsellor and put their concerns forward in a private session. The counsellor then offers interventional strategies to solve their issues

Children are also provided with career guidance and advice on the right selection of subjects based on theirinherent talents, inclination and the career that they would like to pursue namely in the fields of science, commerce or arts.

CAMPUS
